What Is Life Teen?
Life Teen is an international comprehensive program
with the mission of
leading teens closer to Christ. You may view the wordwide program at lifeteen.com. The following Life Teen components are
available or will eventually be available for the teens at Saint Priscilla’s:
- Eucharist- is the center of the Catholic faith and of this youth ministry program.
High school teens are encouraged to celebrate Mass every weekend. They will also
be invited at various times throughout the year to meet and celebrate Mass together.
Dates TBD
- Mass Ministries- teens are encouraged to become full, conscious and
active participants in the liturgy. They are invited to become Extraordinary Ministers
of the Eucharist, lectors, ushers and greeters.
- Life Nights- on Monday nights
from 7-8:30 p.m. teens are invited to a night filled with activities, meaningful
messages and challenges about their faith, opportunities to build friendships and
a network of support to help them as they live a Christian life. During the course
of a month we will have 1 educational, 1 issue, 1 social and 1 service night.
- Christian Service- various projects and events will be offered throughout the year.
- Parish Council and Commissions-teen representatives will be selected to represent
the youth of the parish at these meetings.
- Teen Bible Study- date/time TBD
- Summer
Camps and Leadership Conferences- Life Teen host’s experiential camps that are extremely
fun and provide a tremendous opportunity for spiritual growth. The leadership conference
is held each year on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.
