Movie & Drama
If you are interested in any type of theater or film, check out this group! We are involved in a variety of events
throughout the parish, and some of our activities are purely for fun. Participants in the group may choose activities
according to their own interests and schedules. Upcoming projects that are in development stages include outings to
theater events and movie nights at the parish.
Our largest production is the Passion Play, which is a dramatic presentation of the gospel reading at each Palm
Sunday Mass. This powerful presentation involves lighting, sound, costumes, and a number of actors. Rehearsals
take place during the six weeks before Palm Sunday.
Faith Formation programs benefit from the participation of Movie & Drama Ministry members, particularly with skits
and film clips for the GIFT programs. We have also collaborated with the Knight of Columbus to hold a variety show
of music, film clips, and skits in conjunction with their spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Feb. 13, 2010.
Our group is co-directed by John Dzwonkowski and Patsy Girnys, under the leadership of Jeanne Marie Laframboise,
Director of Music. We generally meet the first Monday of the month at 7 pm, and additional rehearsals are scheduled
